The Development Corporation of Columbia Heights (DCCH) works to improve the quality of life for residents and business owners through leadership training, the Neighborhood Jobs Initiative (NJI) program and housing development.

Ethiopian Community Development Council
The Ethiopian Community Development Council's mission is to resettle refugees; promote cultural, educational and socioeconomic development in the refugee and immigrant community in the United States; and conduct humanitarian and development programs in Africa.

H Street Community Development Corporation
Since its inception in 1984, the H Street CDC has addressed the needs of Washington area residents and businesses through its commercial and residential projects, business services, small business loan programs and community empowerment projects. Latino Economic Development Corporation
Originally established in 1991 to help the Latino community of Mount Pleasant, the Latino Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) now serves all clientele, regardless of culture, class or language. LEDC's primary focus is on the Mount Pleasant, Adams Morgan and Columbia Heights areas with additional city-wide outreach to Latino markets.
