Who provides the most loans for small businesses
in the DC area?
The Washington, DC Office
of the Small Business Administration posts a lender's
ranking sheet that lists all of the banks in the metropolitan area
and ranks them by the number of SBA guaranteed loans.
What grants are available and what businesses
can apply?
Grants are typically for nonprofit businesses. The federal government
also provides focused grants for for-profit businesses in specific industries
where it is looking to spark innovation, such as defense and homeland
